Our goal is to teach your dog skills tailored to your lifestyle, intensify your bond and mutual understanding
and to help your best friend to become the perfect family member.

Everybody’s lifestyle is different and therefore the role of a dog in a household varies. Whether you want a pet dog, a sport dog, service dog or home protection dog: our team has a proven track record of finding the perfect dog for you, training dogs for and with you and also competing dogs on national and international level.

Our unique training method is second to none! You will not find a better team to take care of all of your training needs. Please enjoy our photos / videos and reading our testimonials. Applied Canine Concepts can help you and your dog communicate in a language they understand which will strengthen your bond and keep your buddy happy and healthy!

We will customize a training program for your dog. This starts when you bring your dog in for an evaluation. Our training methods are clear and precise. We teach dogs how to think instead of react and make clear choices.

Then we teach you how to communicate with your dog by keeping the training simple and easy. This type of training sticks with your dog for life and for a few minutes a day, it is easy for you to maintain at home. Our most popular package is a 2-3 week board and train program. Your dog will stay in one of our spacious kennels on our beautifully maintained 10 acre estate.

We have 1-2 acre paddocks where dogs enjoy down time and lots of shade. At the end of the program, you will need to allow approximately 2 hours for your go home lesson, this is where we reintroduce you and your dog on a “clean slate”. We will teach you the proper way to handle your dog and then make sure you understand all of the commands before you go home.

We like to see clients back after about 5-7 days for a follow up. Keep this in mind when booking dates. And yes: we also love to work with puppies as this allows us to train your dog without having to correct too many bad habits.

We teach your dog to problem solve and think!

Gina Bishop has been a passionate animal lover her whole life. Formerly, Gina was a successful horse trainer and professional rider. After 20 years of owning and operating Huntington Training and Sales in North GA. She transitioned to the sport of Schutzhund in which she trains and competes at the highest level with her German Shepherds Dux and Casso and most recently Orso

In 2018 she developed Applied Canine Concepts and is now dedicated to helping others with their dogs.

With a 35+ years of animal husbandry under her belt and from the experience of building a top level horse farm from the ground up, Gina realized a need for a boarding facility that not only provides excellent care, but also provides a safe and stress free environment for dogs. She spent 100’s of hours researching, drawing and planning out every detail taking every type of dog’s needs into consideration. Today ACC now has The Premiere Facility to house not only pet and sport dogs, but also Police k9’s! With the innovative indoor/outdoor runs which allows dogs who would not normally be welcome at a boarding facility to come and be safely housed without putting our staff at risk. This is a game changer in the area. Especially for our K9 officers and otherwise fearful dogs!
